UNIFORMS

Sea Exploring has long been associated with traditional Navy uniforms. The sailor's jumper, bell-bottom trousers, and "Dixie-cup" hat have been worn by Sea Scouts and Sea Explorers for over 70 years.

Uniforms are always clean, in good repair, neat, and well fitting.

STANDARD UNIFORM

The work uniform is a ship's T-shirt, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. A ship's sweatshirt may be worn in cool weather. The T-shirt is machine washable and may be dried in a drier.

DUNGAREE UNIFORM

The dungaree uniform is the ship's T-shirt,

dungaree shirt, blue jeans, white belt with silver

buckle, "Dixie-cup" hat or ball cap, and white tennis shoes. The

dungaree shirt is machine washable and may be dried

in a dryer.

DRESS BLUE UNIFORM

The dress blue uniform is worn for formal

occasions such as a bridge of honor, formal dance,

color guard, or parade. It consists of the white

"Dixie-cup" hat, white T-shirt, blue jumper with

scarf tied in a square knot, blue trousers or skirt,

black socks, and black leather shoes. Men wear

black socks, women wear skin color hose. The

jumper, trousers, and skirts are wool; they are

not washable. They must be dry cleaned.

The scarf and hat are washable; if you dry the

hat, it will shrink, so dry it over a clean soccer or

basketball
