READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. Tom Sawyer is due at the end of November. Do a double entry journal; remember that one of the themes is "growing-up". November's general log is due 11/30.
VOCABULARY AND SPELLING: Unit 11 due Friday 11/9/01. There will be a test 11/9. Basic: immigrate, emigrate, adverse, averse, persecute, prosecute, accede, exceed, liable, libel, rational, rationale, prospective, perspective, vocation, avocation, vial, vile, regimen, regiment. Review: conscious, conscience, bizarre, bazaar. Challenge: antidote, anecdote, eminent, imminent. Do: pp. 72-74. 75 (Proofreading section only), 77. Or alternate assignment for vocabulary.
