Homework Helps 2001-2 - Week 18
READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. Light in the Forest is due January 9, 2002. Do a double entry journal or acceptable alternative; remember that one of the themes is "growing-up"; due January 9 with the test. January's general log is due 1/31/02.
VOCABULARY AND SPELLING: Unit 19. Basic: restoration, restore, original, origin, illustrate, illustrative, sequence, sequential, punctual, punctuality, symbolism, symbolic, tranquil, tranquility, syllable, syllabication, neutral, neutrality, trivial, triviality. Review: excellence, excel, adaptation, adapt. Challenge: emphasis, emphatic, economy, economics . Do pages 120-125, except for "Write a Description" on p. 123. OR: Write a sentence and definition for each word. OR: for an extra "A" make 20 analogies, similes, or metaphors in multiple choice format by Wednesday; turn it in as word file or e-mail it to me.

FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS: Assembly Line section and evaluation to be done in class.

FINALS NEXT WEEK: You will need to have read Nightjohn and finished Chapter 2 in the Social Studies textbook by January 17, 2002.
