Homework Helps - November 20, 2000
READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. You will need to spend this time to finish the required literature books and books of your choice for book reports. Light in the Forest is due on November 21, 2000. Begin to collect items to symbolize True Son's history and heritage. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer due 12/13/00.
SPELLING: Review activities. Ditto sheets due 11/22/00.
CURRENT EVENTS: Due ______________________________.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: See separate instructions. Have the entire project and report finished by the second week in January. This is a 5 hour project, and many opportunities will present themselves between now and December; keep a lookout and be prepared.
PROBLEM SOLUTION ESSAY: How could one of Anne's problems been solved? Final draft due 11/22/00.
MAP PROJECT: Plan to trace the outline before school, after school, or at lunch. You must have the outline traced by Friday, 11/17/00. The rest of the work on this project is to be done at home.
MIND MAPS: Refer to the internet for examples. They are under "Drag and Brag".
GEOGRAPHY PACKET: These are to be finished by 11/22/00.
Light in the Forest: Medicine Bag. Collect a few items to symbolize True Son (Johnny)'s journey to adulthood. Include items to represent his hopes, decisions, ideals, families, and community. Extra credit for his future.
