READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. You will need to spend this time to finish the required literature books and books of your choice for book reports. The next book is Rifles for Waite or Across 5 Aprils - your choice of 2. Some of you will wish to read Ender's Game, too.
SPELLING: Unit 29. Basic words: personnel, applicant, referral, occupation, recommend, occurrence, committee, essential, broccoli, summary, tariff, trespass, possession, opossum, accommodate, embarrass, paraffin, affectionate, shrubbery, harass. Review: bulleltin, cancellation, possibility, necessary, challenge. Challenge: succinct, renaissance, irrevocable, collateral, reconnaissance. Do pp. 180-185 except p.183 "Write A Thank You Letter". Test on Friday.
CURRENT EVENTS: Due ______________________________.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Chapter 12 test Friday 5/11. Final Jeopardy match Thursday 5/10.
TECHNICAL WRITING: Create a "thing" and write the instructions for a neighbor to make. Use clear instructions, diagrams, and numbered steps or bullets. Collect the materials and be prepared to exchange project instructions and materials with a neighbor 5/22/01.
