VOCABULARY AND SPELLING:  List each word and derivitive words from social studies Chapter 7.  Words:  War To End All Wars, armistice, enmity, cease fire, treaty, veteran, military, fatal, casualty, service, defense, offense, front, cemetery, observance.  List a definition, original sentence, and an icon for each word.  Due on Friday, November 7, and there will be a test. For a grade of "C" the standard is 10 words written correctly; "B" is 13 words; "A" 15 words. Completed homework is half the grade. VOCABULARY AND SPELLING(Plan B)

AMERICAN REVOLUTIONARY WAR JOURNAL PROJECT:  Choose a person from United States History 1763 - 1787.  Create a report about that person's life; present the report as a first person journal,   newspaper , or series of letters. 
Last page must be a bibliography in MLA format.  Due November 14.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT:  Each eighth grade student at Windsor Middle School provides 5 or more hours of public service as a part of the social studies grade.  Due December 12, 2008.
