READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. Read a book of your choice and keep a reading log. We will read Miracle Worker in class.

VOCABULARY AND SPELLING: Define each word as it applies to Chapter 22. WORDS: hyperbole, imagery, idiom, inference, irony, mood, motivation, narrator, nonfiction, plot, protagonist, structure, suspense, theme, tone. Define, give the page where it is used, and write an original sentence with each one; also draw an icon for each. Due with the test on Friday. OUTSIDERS: Poster displaying all literary terms from week 29 and 31.  Create a large, colorful poster that displays all the literary terms that have been in the vocabulary for weeks 29 and 31.
