READING: Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night including weekends. Read Red Badge of Courage. Keep a reading log consisting of dates and pages read. Due May 14, 2008.

VOCABULARY AND SPELLING: Define each word. Words: mature, maximize, mechanism, media, mediate, medical, medium, mental, method, migrate, military, minimal, minimize, minimum, ministry. Define and write an original sentence with each one; also draw an icon for each. Due with the test on Friday. For a grade of "C" the standard is 10 words written correctly; "B" is 13 words; "A" 15 words. Completed homework is half the grade. ( VOCABULARY AND SPELLING - PLAN B )

HOBBIES PROJECT: Instructions on separate sheet.

MEMORIZE A POEM: Memorize a poem of 4 or more stanzas to present in front of the class. Due May 8.
