Westgate Landing - Camping and Rendezvous
A.K.A "You do not need a big boat to cruise and have fun."
In August we loaded many of our small boats, canoe, kayaks and wind surfs, and drove to Westgate Landing on the Delta. Little did the Scouts know that they were about to become the envy of part of the fleet when other units discovered our Scouts actually sail and wind surf - well. Adam taught several girls from MSS Tradewinds how to sail their sunfish.

Evan and Nick made a point of making windsurfing look easy. Many other Scouts were quite impressed.

Nate, Doug, Shoshana, Jenny, Loren, James, Cathy, and Steven made friends and spent hours swimming with Scouts from the Compass Rose, Tradewind, Gryphon, and Sea Fox.

We camped and had a great time just hanging around.

Again, it was an adventure each night to see who showed up to visit. Even going home was an adventure, but it was a splendid way to end a busy summer.
